A company that stores your information (or website) on a server, allowing it to be accessed by users on the Internet. Typically, you
will buy / register your domain name with this company. The domain name generally costs around $10/yr, and the fee to have your web
information served to the web costs approximately $75/yr. Most of these ‘Web Hosts’ offer technical support, along with customer support
on a 24/7 basis. I use Hostmonster, and have called them a few times after I have made a few dumb mistakes. Their technical support
folks were very friendly in regards to fixing my faux pas.
